The Moriuchi Group is made up of several talented real estate professionals helping each other and our clients with their buying and selling needs. We want to introduce you to our team, one agent at a time, so you can get to know us a little better! Meet team member Michelle Peterson.
Why did you join the Moriuchi Group and why The Moriuchi Group?
When I first interviewed with Naoji over 6 years ago I didn’t initially join his team because I was nervous about the team aspect. You hear negative things about teams so I wasn’t sure. After having a baby and leaving my full time job, I realized I needed guidance and he was the first place I went. I have been on Naoji’s team for over 5 years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. I love the team dynamic, I would never not be on a team and especially Naoji’s because if you talk to anyone else on a real estate team it’s quick to see that they don’t have the type of support we have. Nobody is a leader like Naoji is, it’s something you truly can’t find anywhere else. Naoji always has his agent’s back and he turns every bump in the road into a learning experience, which I really appreciate. The Moriuchi Group also has an operations department which I don’t know of any other team that offers a Listing Manager, Closing Manager, Marketing Manager and a Lead Generator Manager. I also love our team members. Nobody is in competition with each other, we are here to help one another and cheer everyone on. I love our team, what we stand for, and our motto, because I truly believe we change people’s lives through the power of real estate.
Why do you love being a real estate agent?
I have always had an interest in real estate, I used to love going to open houses before being an agent and just seeing homes. It has always been a passion of mine, I could never imagine myself doing anything else. Being able to help people for a job is pretty special. You gotta love what you do, right?
What makes you a good agent?
I’m genuinely myself 100% of the time as well as honest in all that I do. I feel that people connect with me because they can see I’m not telling them just what they want to hear or what I think they want to hear, I’m telling them the truth. I realized early on in my career that if you are your true self and putting the client’s best interest first, rather than the commission, it makes a huge difference. I want to make sure my clients walk away feeling positive about our experience no matter the outcome. I treat my clients like I would treat my family, I look out for the best interest at all times even if that means it might not be the best outcome for me financially. I think this is why many of my clients have now become very close friends.
What’s your favorite part about living in south Jersey?
I love how close we are to so many amazing beaches, the great schools, shopping, restaurants and just overall the amazing communities we have here.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to go out to dinner with my husband, hang with friends, go to the beach, coach my daughters cheerleading, travel, and WINE!
What’s an interesting fact about you?
Although I love to travel, I hate flying! This means our family takes a lot of road trips, which allows us to slow down, spend quality time together, and see the beautiful country we live in (and avoids me having a panic attack on an airplane).
What’s a quote you live by?
“I am thankful for another day. The world may not always be easy to live in, but I am thankful for another chance to be here, to breathe, to choose my direction, and to love and be loved. I am intent on highlighting the positive and offering the light I have to give to the world. I am making the most of this lifetime, because it is my life, after all.”
