Mount Laurel is a large town in South Jersey with a population of over 41,000 people. With easy accessibility to major highways and the NJ Turnpike, Mount Laurel is conveniently located close to Philadelphia, New York City and Washington, D.C. It’s also proximate to the South Jersey shore. Mount Laurel also hosts many well-known companies like NFL Films and PHH Mortgage. Mount Laurel has a mix of home types, including plenty of houses for rent, older homes and newer construction homes as well.

Holiday Village & Holiday Village East


Holiday Village and Holiday Village East are two active 55+ communities in Mount Laurel. Both communities were built by J.S. Hovnanian & Sons. Holiday Village is a little bit older construction than East, with homes built starting in the mid 1980s. Holiday Village East housing was built between 1991 and 2000. Holiday Village and Holiday Village East boast low maintenance fees and many amenities for residents like a community house with nightly social events.

Pros: Low maintenance fees, community amenities (swimming pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc.)
Real estate Summary: Homes in both Holiday Village and Holiday Village East range from carriages homes, patio homes and condos. Some homes have a 1-car attached garage. Larchmont


Larchmont is a community just off Hartford Road and Union Mill Road. Close to Larchmont Swim Club, Larchmont homes were built in 1979 by Orleans. Larchmont boasts both single family homes and town homes and has community amenities like tennis courts.

Ramblewood


This 1,000 house planned community was built around 1960 and planned around a golf course, Ramblewood Country Club. Ramblewood is proximate to Route 73, Route 295 and the NJ Turnpike. Ramblewood is also close to Laurel Acres Park, a large (almost 100 acre) outdoor park for picnics, dog walking and other family-friendly activities.

Pros: Close to transportation, family-friendly feel, close to a golf club and many other area attractions.
Real estate Summary: Mostly small to medium sized homes that are three to four bedrooms. Ramblewood also has some apartment buildings. While most people own homes in Ramblewood, there are quite a few people who rent.

Rancocas Woods


Rancocas Woods is a community in Mount Laurel that abuts Rancocas State Park and Rancocas Creek. Homes in Rancocas Woods were built from the 1930s to the 1980s. Rancocas Woods, true to its name, has a lot of large, mature trees.

Pros: Family-friendly, close to nature, close to Highway 295.
Real estate Summary: Homes in Rancocas Woods range from 2 to 4 bedrooms and most homes have attached garages and a basement.
