In part one of this series, we’ll explore breweries all over South Jersey. New Jersey breweries have become even more popular since New Jersey passed legislation in 2012 to allow breweries to sell beer on premises. In the years since, New Jersey has seen a boom in craft breweries. We have many right here in South Jersey. Let’s explore a few:
Flying Fish Brewing Company
Flying Fish was founded in 1995 in Cherry Hill and is now located in nearby Somerdale, New Jersey. As the largest commercial brewer in New Jersey, Flying Fish is still committed to the local community, contributing with a large sustainability campaign, including solar lights and panels, using recycled office equipment and building a rain garden roof to collect and recycle runoff. You can visit their tasting room Wednesday through Sunday and free tours are available on weekends. They also sell beer by the case, in kegs and in growlers. Feel free to bring snacks and hang out at this expansive location. It’s great for a large group or a fun date.
