Mt. Laurel Schools
The Mt. Laurel Public School System serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with 6 neighborhood elementary schools, and Middle School split between the Mt. Laurel Hartford School, for grades 5 & 6, and the Thomas E. Harrington Middle School for grades 7 & 8. Public school students attend Lenape Regional High School, in Medford NJ, for 9th through 12th grades. Lenape was established in 1958 and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools. According to a recent ranking in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine, it ranks in the top 100 public high schools in the state. In addition to students from Mt. Laurel, Lenape serves students from the towns of Evesham, Medford Lakes, Medford, Shamong, Southampton, Tabernacle and Woodland Township. Lenape High School is particularly known for its Marching Band, which has won numerous state and national competitions. The school’s athletes compete in the Olympic Conference of the New Jersey State Athletic Association, in the Group IV, based on enrollment. It also has club teams for Ultimate Frisbee and Ice Hockey. The Lenape teams have championships to their credit in girls’ lacrosse, boys’ basketball, girls’ soccer, boys’ bowling, field hockey and football.
