Haddonfield Schools
One of the interesting things about Haddonfield Public Schools is, due to the small size of the borough, that all the schools in the district are walkable.
High School serves 755 students in 9th through 12th grade from Haddonfield. It routinely ranks as one of the top public high schools in New Jersey according to many different organizations and has the highest SAT scores of any public school in South Jersey. It prides itself on having a rigorous college-preparatory program academically. With an almost 100% graduation rate, almost 70% of the students take at least one Advanced Placement exam – advanced placement classes are offered in 18 different subjects.. It has a highly competitive athletic program, having won the state cup for the best-all-round sports program for many years.
HMHS also has garnered many prizes in academic competitions including reaching World Finals in the Odyssey of the Mind, and being recognized for outstanding participation in the Model United Nations. Their visual arts, theater and music programs are also points of pride for the school, including the award-winning HMHS Marching Colonials band, and the renaissance Madrigal Singers. Another distinctive of the HMHS program is its German language program; Spanish, French and Latin are also offered. The school also has a long tradition of promoting community service on the part of the student body. The Haddonfield School district also has three fine neighborhood public elementary schools offering Prekindergarten through fifth grades, and a Middle School serving grades 6 through 8.
